Couto Country House was refurbished, in the middle of nature, near to Aguçadoura and Estela Beach (surf and windsurf). Recently installed mezanine, now can have four people (two single beds, one sofabed). Quiet, secluded location. Equipped with modern comfort. Fresh due to rock walls (no air conditioning). Generous balcony for meals and fun. Junqueiras Windmills halfway to the beach, and local shops close by. 5.000 m2 terrain with biological plantation of pine trees, can also support Surf Camp if needed.

It’s on recessed generous terrain which can also support tents, near the growing trees. At Póvoa de Varzim city entrance you can explore city park design by Sidónio de Pardal Arch, with nature roots and respect.

It’s a great spot…. One of the Best Surf spot in the north of Portugal!

Aguçadoura Surf Guide
Aguçadoura in North Portugal is an exposed beach break that has fairly consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. Works best in offshore winds from the east. Windswells and groundswells in equal measure and the ideal swell direction is from the west.. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Relatively few surfers here, even on good days. Take care of.

Surfing Agucadoura
The best conditions reported for surf at Agucadoura occur when a West swell combines with an offshore wind direction from the East.

We visited another top spot for surfing, especially for Schools, with refugio zones, and for experienced ones as well.

Horse Carriage Sightseeing
Recently encountered Mr José Albino Zé, and horse friend “Pintas” (spots), for horse carriage sightseeing. They are from Apúlia, but can pick-up people at Couto’s House.
